TWEETS: Kerry players past and present blast Neil McGee for his role in Kerry player’s red card
It’s been a bit feisty in Tralee this afternoon.
Kerry and Donegal have faced each other quite a bit in recent years and the rivalry wasn’t long getting heated in their Division One League clash in Tralee this afternoon.
The skirmishes started early doors and barely ten minutes had passed when Kerry full-forward Alan Fitzgerald was given his marching orders after the umpire informed the referee of what appeared to be a belt to the nose of Donegal full-back Neil McGee.
Video evidence subsequently suggested that McGee may not have been entirely innocent, however, and James O’Donoghue and Paul Galvin were amongst the many on Twitter to let rip.
Red card for a little punch and nothing for trying to break a fellas fingers. Good umpire.

No harm for McGee to get his nose popped for what he did to Alan Fitz. That's going to him a long time. #Kerry #AllianzLeagues

Since Fitzgerald's red card, another player from each side has been given their marching orders.
If this is what it's like in the league, can you imagine what it will be like if they meet in the Championship?
