TWEETS: The best reaction as Waterford bring Kilkenny to the brink in enthralling All-Ireland semi-final
What a game.
We've been waiting all season for the hurling championship to spark into life but boy did Kilkenny and Waterford deliver the goods at Croke Park today.
Huge underdogs following their Munster Final trimming at the hands of Tipperary, Waterford tore into the reigning All-Ireland Champions from the off and thanks to huge performances from the likes of Austin Gleeson and Pauric Mahony, they looked like they were going to cause an upset.
Clichéd as it might be, you can never, ever, write off Kilkenny and when Walter Walsh got his chance with only a couple of minutes left on the clock, he buried the sliotar to the back of the net to level the game and both sides lived to fight another day.
Derek McGrath's men might feel they left it behind them on the day, but if they can replicate today's performance in the replay, then they'll take beating.
Whether Kilkenny will allow them to is another matter, but all the more reason to look forward to what should be another titanic clash.
Here's some of the best reaction to an enthralling encounter at Croke Park.
What a game oh what a game. It had everything 👏👏👏👏👏#KKvWAT

What a game! Waterford hit a few bad wides at crucial stage but were brilliant throughout. Kilkenny not at best but showed why champions.

Waterford, with all their skill and ferocity, should have pushed on in the last ten. An awful waste of an otherwise epic effort

Kilkenny. Shoot them. Stick a stake in them. Chop their head off. Kick it away. Shoot them again. And they're still not dead
