
What a half of hurling!
As things stand in Croke Park, Galway lead Waterford in the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Final, but it all hangs in the balance.
Four early scores saw Galway pull away in the early minutes of the game, but Waterford soon slashed the deficit with a Kevin Moran goal.
The trend continued, however, as Galway put more points on the board from all over the park. The Tribesmen eked out another lead of 0-10 to 1-7 before Waterford seized another opportunity and Shane Bennett looked to poke the ball into the Galway goal after a long puck forward from his brother.
The game slowed down after that, with a few injury breaks — points were harder to come by. Still, Waterford took heart from their goals and began to put more and more scores on the board, eventually drawing level just minutes before the break. One more free from Galway put them one point ahead, leading at half time 0-14 to 2-07.
