Tim Kennedy is a bit of a hero. Well, when we say, “bit” we mean the man is an actual military hero; they LOVE him in The UFC and with knockouts like Wednesday night, they have plenty of reason to.
Anyway, it was always going to be a tough fight for Kennedy – there are very few easy ones in an organisation like The UFC – but he recently announced that he fought on Wednesday night... with a torn quad. Ouch!
According to
BJPenn.com he said,
“I tore my quad coming into this camp. The very last week of fight camp, just a stupid thing happened. A lady walked over the track and it was either run over a 65 year-old lady – probably kill her – or try to decelerate in about two meters. I chose to decelerate and just fell to the ground, grabbing my leg screaming not great words.”
He added that if they “
If they had to roll me into the cage to fight Natal, I would’ve fought him.” And that he is “
too dumb to care.”
Lucky for him the fight ended with a spectacular knockout… and lucky for the little old lady his reflexes are so good.
Still… torn quad… Jaysus. Hashtag hard bastard.
