The wing will miss Ireland's November internationals.

Andrew Trimble has been ruled out for a number of months with the toe injury he sustained in Ulster's PRO12 win over Glasgow Warriors. Trimble, who turned 30 on Monday, injured ligaments in the toe and Ulster will now seek a second opinion before providing any further injury updates. Luke Marshall is also set to miss a long spell after injuring his medial knee ligaments while playing for the Ravens against Yorkshire Carnegie on Saturday. Ulster take on reigning European champions Toulon in the Champions Cup at Ravenhill on Saturday afternoon.
