Umbro reported to end 23-year kit deal with Ireland team, and their replacement has been named

Rory Cashin

Umbro will be ending their 23-year relationship with kitting out the Irish team this year.

They took over from Adidas back in 1994 just after the World Cup, but the Football Association of Ireland is reporting that they will no longer be associated with the sports clothing outlet from August.

On 2 September they face Georgia, and the team will debut their new kit supplied by New Balance.

The American company are already the suppliers of Liverpool and Celtic.

Ireland will wear their current Umbro kit for the final time this June when they play against Austria.

We imagine they’ll be worth a pretty penny in the years to come…
