US schools basketball team ends four-year losing streak in the last game of the season

These are some low expectations.

Losing streaks don’t come much longer than this.

A US basketball team has just ended an 81-game run of consecutive defeats to record their first victory in four years.

The Timberlane High School boys’ basketball team entered the final game of the season against Keene with a 0-17 record for the season.

The team from Plaistow, New Hampshire, didn’t win any games at all last season.

Or the one before that.

Or the one before that.

They last took victory in January 2010, but this 71-56 win prevented the Owls from another barren season.

Pity poor Keane, though, who finished this season with their own 0-16 record.

The NBA, this is not.
