No more than in every other sport, GAA teams are constantly on the lookout for new training drills or techniques that might give them even the slightest edge over the competition.
The footballers from Ballinagh GAA club in Cavan are no different and recently decided to try some winter training with a difference by suiting up in some bubble football gear and revelling in the absolute mayhem that inevitably followed.
As anyone who’s ever played it will know, bubble football will do little to improve one’s technique and has little benefit from a tactical point of view, but you work up quite a sweat when you’re stuck inside and besides, there aren’t many better ways to encourage team bonding than this (Warning: Contains occasional NSFW language).
We understand if any club players out there will immediately approach their team managers looking to do something similar before the start of next season, because that’s exactly what we’re going to do.
Hat-tip to Eoin Schweppe for sending this one our way
