At UFC Fight Night 31 last night, the fight of the night was a very special one indeed. A former member of the US Army, Tim Kennedy, KO’d Rafael Natal in a card held on a military base in Fort Campbell in Kentucky.
The middleweight fight ended in spectacular fashion with just 20 seconds to go in the first round as Kennedy landed a perfect left hand on Natal, knocking him out and the fight was over seconds later.
Until recently, Kennedy’s career was a slow burner as he continued to serve in the US Army, as a Ranger and a Green Beret. Now, with a KO of the Night to his name, he may get a few more shots at the big time.
