Video: A magical effort by Galway’s Shane Walsh was an easy pick for the GAA’s best point of the 2014 Championship

If Dennis Bergkamp played GAA this is the type of thing he’d be at. Ridiculous.

If Dennis Bergkamp played GAA this is the type of thing he’d be at. Ridiculous.

The GAA today released a video of their pick of the five best scores from the 2014 All-Ireland senior football championship and it was no surprise to see the talented Galway youngster top the pile.

The point we’re talking about, of course, is the effort against Tipperary in the All-Ireland qualifiers when he instantly controlled a 45 before turning and popping the ball over the bar, just one example of the ridiculous talent that Walsh possesses in spades.

Two textbook booming points by Donegal’s Michael Murphy also made the cut, as did a fantastic side-line effort by Sligo’s Adrian Marren and a brilliant individual effort by Kerry’s Paul Geaney that was crucial in securing an extra-time victory over Mayo in the All-Ireland semi-final.

Do you agree with the GAA’s choices? It’s hard not to, in fairness.
