Northampton player Courtney Lawes has a reputation for playing the game on the edge, and while this tackle was entirely legal, it was one hell of a hit.
The Saints were playing Bedford in a pre-season run out on Friday night and Lawes wasn’t treating the game lightly. Far from it indeed.
With Bedford going through phases, the England international had his man lined up. The long pass and incredible line speed from Lawes meant he was a sitting duck.
