Video: A pitch invader hit Franck Ribery with a scarf last night… and flipped him the bird afterwards

We don’t know what this pitch invader has against Franck Ribery but he must have seriously p*ssed him off.

Most people who invade the pitch at sporting events these days are happy to maybe shed a few items of clothing and get a few cheers from the crowd before making an exit, but a pitch invader during Bayern Munich’s clash with Hamburg last night was determined to make the most of every second he had on the pitch. With time almost up and Bayern leading 3-1 in the German Cup clash between the sides, a Hamburg supporter ran onto the pitch and made a beeline for the French winger (who had earlier scored Bayern’s third goal), hitting him in the face with a scarf and then flipping the bird in his face before he was accosted by security officials nearby. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LyLzvpREVUo Despite immediately looking like he might exact some sort of physical retribution on his assailant, Ribery quickly saw sense and stood his distance and was diplomatic about the incident afterwards. “Fortunately, nothing much happened,” Ribery told German television after the game.
