You only needed to see the amount of Irish fans in Vegas and the reaction to his victory over Chad Mendes at home to see the influence that Conor McGregor has had on Irish people in recent times.
So influential has McGregor been in fact, that a man many years his elder was prepared to get half-naked, have a fake tattoo drawn on his chest and parade around in front of a camera to promote a sale at EJ Menswear in Sligo Town.

Perhaps inspired by the camera and by Sinead O’Connor’s dulcet tones in the background, the star of the show really got into it and started flaking all around him like nobody’s business.
We can only hope that the shop’s customers aren’t subjected to the same treatment that was doled out to poor fellas holding up the signs; that wouldn’t be pretty at all.
