Rory McIlroy might not be lighting it up on the fairways at the moment but at least he has a nice house to return to in the evening. Actually nice is doing it an injustice; it’s amazing.
Not many people are expecting McIlroy to retain the US PGA title he won in spectacular fashion last year given his form of late, but a video tour of his Florida home is an illustration of the comforts that being one of the world’s top golfers can bring, even if you happen to be going through a rough patch.
McIlroy made the video in association with his sponsors Bose and although it features more product placement than a recent James Bond movie, one can’t deny that it is a smashing pad indeed.
The fully-kitted out gym and the pool table are particularly nice touches, but his fish tank isn’t a patch on Stephen Ireland’s that’s for sure.
