Champagne rugby from the undefeated Champions of Division 1B of the Leinster League.
We’ve been treated to some top class rugby from the national side at the Aviva Stadium over the course of the Six Nations and it’s good to know that further down the scale in local rugby leagues throughout the country, the standard seems to be pretty decent too.
That was certainly the case when Ashbourne Rugby Club played Kilkenny in their final league game in Leinster League Division 1B and scored this fantastic team try to put the icing on the cake of yet another victory, their 14th in 14 games in the league.
According to the match report on the Ashbourne website it was winger Casey Dunne who putting the finishing touches to a glorious team move, but special mention should go to centre Adam Sherrard for a delightful reverse flick seconds before Dunne touched down.
Bravo lads, bravo.
