Jack McInerney, who plays for Montreal Impact, scored a sensational goal against Houston Dynamo in the MLS this weekend.
He’s played for the US right up to Under 23 level, but his full name is John Seamus “Jack” McInerney so we are pretty sure that has to qualify him for Ireland so maybe give him a buzz Martin. He’s been referred to as the ‘American Chicharito’ and this goal, although somewhat freakish, shows you the man’s predatory instincts.
He clearly intended to hit it goalwards and for that reason alone, he deserves all the plaudits for a sublime finish.
