Video: An Irish fly-half got cut in two in an Aviva Premiership game last weekend

Sit down son…

Former Ulster fly-half and Irish underage star Gareth Steenson was on the receiving end of a crunching hit in the English Premiership last Friday night.

Steenson, playing for Exeter Chiefs, learned a hard lesson when he decided to run straight into Gloucester second-row Tom Palmer. In other words, he ran into a brick wall. To put this into perspective, Palmer has almost a six stone weight advantage on the former Irish u-19 international so there was only ever going to be one winner.

It was a bad weekend for out-halves all round with Jimmy Gopperth getting levelled against Connacht on Friday night as well.

Just watch the air that Steenson gets in the video following the collision.
