Video: Anderson needed oxygen after being substituted last night

The former Manchester United player is puffing hard here.

Anderson returned to his homeland of Brazil recently to play for Internacional after becoming a very expensive flop at Old Trafford.

Last night he played for his new club in the first group match of the Copa Libertadores away to Bolivian side, The Strongest La Paz.

Unfortunately for our pal Anderson, who was often labelled unfit when he was in England, he was substituted after only 37 minutes and was immediately given some oxygen as he sat on the bench.

In fairness to him, La Paz is almost 12,000 feet above sea level. His night went from bad to worse as his team were beaten 3-1. It hasn’t been the best of starts as he missed a penalty on his debut last week.

You can say what you like about the likes of Messi and Ronaldo, but how would they fare on a balmy, muggy, thin-aired Tuesday evening in La Paz?
