Video: Anderson Silva suffered a gruesome leg break at UFC 168 last night

Be warned if you're sitting down for a lovely bite to eat, you may want to look away now

Once again things did not go to plan for Anderson Silva against Chris Weidman last night, but not because he was knocked out this time, rather because the Brazilian’s leg snapped in an excruciating break.

Silva went for an inside kick in the opening stages of the second round, and as Weidman blocked, Silva’s leg snaps in half on his shin and he collapses to the ground in agony.

Silva was taken to the hospital immediately for surgery, but at 38-years-old and with a lot of rehab in front of him, this may be the last time we see one of the greats fight, which would be a terrible way for him to finish his career.

Hat-tip to Brazilian News Cloud for the pic and Stephen Minihane for sending the video our way
