Video: Andy Lee to fight Kazakh weapon of mass destruction Gennady Golovkin; here’s what he can expect

Eric Lalor

Irish boxer and all round nice guy, Andy Lee has a fight on his hands. Not just any fight.

Andy Lee is a very good boxer. We’ve always enjoyed Andy on TV as either a fighter or a pundit. Now we know one of the key prerequisites for all boxers is bravery. However there is bravery and there is AH HEYOR!

Andy Lee is scheduled to fight Gennady Golovkin in April over in Madison Square Garden. Who? You may not be aware of the Kazakh, but he is one of the hardest punchers fighting today. He throws haymakers, sledgehammers, bombs, hooks, the whole lot!

He hits hard and he hits hard a lot. He has never been knocked down as a boxer in either his amateur or professional career spanning 375 fights. His record is flawless. He’s fought 29 times and won 29 times with 25 knockouts. He is the current IBO and WBA Middleweight champion of the world and was recently named the boxer of the year for 2013 by the prestigious Ring magazine.

Andy is a good looking guy. This Kazakh could quickly change that. Andy, we love you. Pull a sickie!
