Jesus, this is brutal.
The name Nick Riewoldt will ring a bell with anyone who has watched the International Rules series over the years; the St. Kilda marksman has been the bane of many an Irish side at home and Down Under.
Earlier today, he was knocked out after suffering a sickening clash of heads with Brodie Smith of the Adelaide Crows (see video above) that left both players reeling.
Riewoldt, St. Kilda were glad to report, suffered no serious damage after undergoing a CT scan, is in a stable condition and will remain in Adelaide Hospital overnight.

Smith, meanwhile, tweeted about having a sore head after the incident but was in good spirits, as it’s his second concussion of the season he will be monitored by the Crows medical staff during the week.
