Liverpool beat Tottenham’s youngsters 5-0 last night, and this peach by Smith was the pick of the bunch.
While top-level football pauses for the international break, there is still stuff happening at underage level and last night Liverpool’s U21s did a real job on their Tottenham counterparts, hammering them 5-0.
Adam Morgan, Cameron Brannagan, Ryan McLaughlin, Brad Smith and Joao Carlos Texeira all netted but the goal by Smith was a real cracker.
Just after half-time he picked up a fairly unpromising ball from a throw-in before beating a defender and rifling the ball into the net.
It was a great return to action for the Aussie born 19-year old, who has been out injured since January with an ACL injury.
