Video: Boxer acts the ass in the ring, referee jumps in from crowd and suplexes him

Referees are traditionally a calming influence in the ring, but if you mess with them or one of their colleagues, you should be prepared to face the consequences.

Referees are traditionally a calming influence in the ring, but if you mess with them or one of their colleagues, you should be prepared to face the consequences.

Much like rugby, for the most part, competitors in fight sports tend to have a lot of respect for the referee and rarely step out of line or fail to obey their instructions.

One particular fighter at a WCFC (World Championship Full Contact) event in the UK recently wasn’t prepared to play by the rules and when the referee stepped in to move him away from his opponent, he roared abuse in his face and pushed him away.

What the angry fighter in question didn’t count on was the presence of another referee, Lee Ambler, in the crowd, and having witnessed what his fellow referee had been subjected to, he leapt over the ropes and slammed the aggressor into the canvass with a textbook suplex, much to the delight of the watching crowd.

That oughta teach him.
