Maybe Keith Thurman took one heavy knock to the head during his WBA welterweight bout last night which may have caused confusion.
The unbeaten welterweight prospect was bleeding from the nose and found himself behind on the scorecards for much of the showdown with fellow unbeaten fighter Diego Chaves before finally coming good. Though he continued his own unbeaten run, he shipped some big hits, which would explain why he was a little groggy in the post-fight interview.
He quickly thanked different people for his win – naturally God was the first mention – but when he went to thank the crowd for their support, he lost his bearings before quickly correcting himself.
