Rugby Sevens isn’t all great tries and fast running. It’s still rugby, which means you can still get hit really hard...
This clip was shot at a tournament called the Surfing Sevens, a Rugby Sevens tournament in the US. It features probably the hardest hit we’ve ever seen in a Sevens match. Normally Sevens games are all about pace and ball movement but if a player lines you up, you can be crushed just like any other game of rugby. This poor attacker makes a break for it but never sees the defender closing in for the tackle.
