Video: Bryan Ruiz’s fluky penalty for Fulham last night
The Premier League side survived their Capital One Cup trip to Burton Albion last night, but only with a large slice of luck.
After the game ended 2-2 following extra time, Premier League Fulham needed a large bit of good fortune to avoid getting dumped out of the Capital One Cup to League 2 side Burton Albion.

To even get to that point, Martin Jol’s side were somewhat lucky, as it took a goal by Hugo Rodallega three minutes from time to take it to spot kicks.
Fulham scored all five of their penalties to beat Burton 5-4 but they were very fortunate with Bryan Ruiz’s effort, which hit the post before bouncing in off unlucky home keeper Dean Lyness.
