If you were flattened by a guy who’s over six foot tall and weighs more than 16 stone running at full speed, you’d probably react in the exact same way.
While being a sports photographer or a cameraman comes with considerable perks in that you get paid while getting the best view of the best sporting events it also comes with a few occupational hazards, as one cameraman covering the NFL clash between the Dallas Cowboys and the Oakland Raiders found out last night. Raiders running back Rashad Jennings was going flat out while making some significant yards along the touchline during the second quarter last night but was eventually dumped out over the line and straight into a cameraman, who let it be known in full voice what it’s like to collide with a finely tuned and pretty monstrous professional athlete running at top speed.
