Video: Conor McGregor appears in UFC Embedded and is typically confident

“I got invited to come along… I bring the numbers.”

“I got invited to come along… I bring the numbers.”

Ireland’s Conor McGregor is in Brazil this weekend for the UFC 179 featherweight title fight between Jose Aldo and Chad Mendes. The fighting Irishman was in a jovial mood for a man who just hopped off a long haul flight and he wasted no time in speaking his mind…

McGregor asks to be brought to Jose’s favela so he can take the belt off him and he jokes about how the king [him] is in town because he is being chauffeured around in a bullet proof limousine.

However he does reveal some interesting facts about the upcoming title fight. He steps away from the trash talk and declares he thinks Aldo will win but he thinks it wouldn’t be an upset for Mendes to catch Aldo with a right hook and end the fight.

Aside from the Irish interest in the video in McGregor, another reason to watch this is the fact this is actually one of the best episodes of UFC Embedded yet with plenty of insight into the fighters.

Light heavyweight Glover Teixeira interestingly reveals ahead of his bout with Phis Davis that he doesn’t train during fight week. We found it amazing that he will only do a small bit of boxing to help with cutting weight when you see the training that Mendes and Aldo are doing…

Elsewhere we see how much of a cool guy Chad Mendes is… something we have been suspecting all week. Keep an eye out for the scene in the lift where he is about to place his hand on his girlfriend’s *cough cough* rear-end before realising the camera is on the pair. This is hands down (excuse the pun), the greatest moment of the video…
