VIDEO: Conor McGregor reveals what he said to Jose Aldo after he knocked him out

Press conferences are part and parcel of every major sporting event.

They can offer an insight into the minds of winners and losers, but they’ll often consist mostly of generic, boring soundbites.

When the interviewee is UFC Champion Conor McGregor, however, you’re guaranteed honest answers of the highest order.

When he was asked “what were you trying to say to him [Aldo]?” at the end of the fight, the Dubliner replied with the following answer:

“Y’know, there was a lot of stuff said.

What I said was, ‘Look, we can go again.’

Although it’s a nice feeling to get the knock-out, it’s kind of not nice as well… I had a little moment where I felt sorry for Jose.”

Could we potentially be looking at rematch between the fighters? We’re pretty sure McGregor could definitely last another 13 seconds.

Not so sure about Aldo though.

If you’ve got a spare hour, then you can watch the full UFC 194 post-fight press conference below. The Notorious takes his place at the podium at around the 33 minute mark.
