We're all for wearing layers to protect yourself from the elements; we are Irish after all, so we know the importance of having some waterproof clothing. However, we do not advise you to get so wrapped up in keeping dry that you forget to pay attention to where you are cycling, and end up like this poor Taiwanese man. We can only speculate as to what caused the man to veer in front of the moving vehicle, but it seems that he hoped to gain altitude by cycling really fast while holding an umbrella in a Mary Poppins (or Shary Bobbins) type manner to catch the air. Although this has yet to be confirmed...
