Video: Daniel Agger accidentally hits kid in the face, apologises with class
The Liverpool defender makes amends to the upset youngster by giving him the shirt off his back.
An incident at Denmark’s training session yesterday showed just what a decent fella Daniel Agger is. The big defender was taking part in a session ahead of his country’s clash with Italy on Friday and he had a shot at goal.
Sadly, it was wayward and it hit a kid who was watching the session in the face. When the tattooed stopper saw that he had felled the spectator, Agger hopped the advertising boards and went to check that his ‘victim’ was okay.
Obviously shaken up by the shot to the head and fighting back the tears, the unfortunate teen was then cheered up as Agger gave him his training top. All the kid’s mates were bloody delighted too.
Nice stuff Daniel. I’m heading up to Malahide now to see if I can catch a Robbie Keane effort to the head.
