Video: David Villa’s goal last night against Barcelona was a bit special

And yes, he did celebrate afterwards...

And yes, he did celebrate afterwards…

Shipped out this summer for a bargain basement price of €5.1million, David Villa reminded Barcelona last night what they had let go. Now playing for Atletico Madrid, the Spanish international bagged his first goal for his new team in the Spanish Supercup last night, and what a goal it was.

The Madrid team won the ball back near their own goal and a stunning team move, that involved Villa on two occasions, was clinically volleyed home by the 31-year old with his third touch of the move.

And he didn’t dampen down his celebration against his former club either, and rightly so as it was a cracking finish to a cracking move.

The first leg ended 1-1 after Neymar scored his first Barca goal, but it was a former Barca star that grabbed all the headlines. That transfer fee looks like one hell of a deal now.
