Looking back now, it’s still ludicrous eight years on and while Donncha’s determination to get on with the job at hand is understandable, David Wallace’s reluctance to lift him at the lineout is equally understandable. We’d never accuse David Wallace of a failure to grab a game by the balls but this is different…
O’Callaghan is joined in the top five by his former Munster colleague Peter Stringer, who makes a second appearance in two weeks after having the gall to swipe the ball off the kicking tee as James O’Connor took an age over a conversion attempt during a clash between the Barbarians and the Wallabies a few years back. He was dead right to do it too.
