JOE loves the work the boys over at Rugby HQ do and this week they have gone all nostalgic on us by looking back on some of their favourite Super Rugby moments from 2001 and as always it’s a mix of top class skill and hilarity.

A familiar face popped up when we were watching it as Munster and New Zealand legend Doug Howlett made a little cameo. The clip shows Howlett in his days with Auckland Blues. The ex-Reds winger is shown creating a try for his teammate Ron Cribb, who touches down into what looks like a swimming pool.

That along with George Gregan being a cranky boy, a back-flipping celebration, Stephen Larkham’s delicious pass and some odd pre-match entertainment make up the list, top class stuff…

Hat-tip to Rugby HQ.
