Video: Drone and Go Pro camera combine for brilliant surfing footage from the Pipeline in Hawaii

We’d love to see them give this go in Mullaghmore someday.

We’d love to see them give this go in Mullaghmore someday.

With the adverse weather conditions in Ireland leading to some pretty big waves in the last few weeks, surfing is very much at the forefront of people’s attentions at the moment.

Some spectacular footage of waves in Mullaghmore and elsewhere was captured and if that’s your type of thing, get a load of this footage from the Pipeline, a famous surf break on Hawaii’s North Shore.

Conditions are just a little different to what they were on the west coast of Ireland in recent weeks but Eric Sterman (see more of his work on YouTube here), who attached a Go Pro camera to a remote controlled DJI quadcopter that hovered slightly above, captured just what it’s like to surf the famous break perhaps better than it has ever been captured before.

Magnificent.
