Video: Epic 54-shot rally between Nadal and Djokovic in the US Open final
The Serb won this fantastic point, but it was the Spaniard who went home with the trophy.
Last night, Rafa Nadal won his 13th Grand Slam title, beating Novak Djokovic 6-2 3-6 6-4 6-1 in New York to claim the US Open crown.

However, the moment of the game went the way of Djokovic, as he won this brilliant, 54-shot rally to go a break up in the second set, a set he would ultimately win.
The point ebbs and flows and for long periods it seems that Nadal will take it but Djokovic keeps the point alive until eventually the Spaniard makes a mistake.

The match lasted just shy of three-and-a-half hours, and this point was almost 90 seconds long. By the way, the longest rally in a Slam as an 86-stroke monster between Bjorn Borg and Guillermo Vilas in the 1978 French Open.
