The BBC pundit’s comments are pretty ominous for Liverpool fans…

It might have come as a surprise to a lot of people when Luis Suarez decided to apologise for biting Giorgio Chiellini yesterday evening. The reason for the surprise was, well, a few days earlier he completely denied it and came up with a terrible excuse for the bite to boot.

The minute Suarez released the apology, the majority of the media and football fans drew up one conclusion – Barcelona made him do it. The Catalan club are known for their integrity and people believe Suarez apologising will help restore his reputation somewhat and then the La Liga side can make their move for the striker.

This was all conspiracy theory stuff until this morning when a man with very close links with Barcelona, Gary Lineker, all but confirmed what everyone has been saying.

Liverpool stood firm when Suarez wanted to leave last summer, we wonder if they’ll be able to do the same in the next few months.
