Video: Fantastic scenes of celebration from inside the Monaghan dressing room yesterday

The Farney Army

Conor Heneghan

Well deserved lads.

It was some day to be a Monaghan supporter in Clones yesterday as the Farney Army wrapped up their second Ulster title in three years with victory over Donegal in a pulsating encounter in St. Tiernach’s Park.

Of all the provinces to win, Ulster is still arguably the biggest deal because it’s so competitive and though they did win one in 2013, it bridged a gap of 25 years from their last one.

Needless to say, when Monaghan do win an Ulster title, they celebrate in style.

The celebrations started early in Clones yesterday; in the dressing room immediately after the game in fact, when captain Conor McManus and company were joined by the Cúl Heroes mascot for a rousing rendition of the Farney Army.

Some crack in the Monaghan dressing room after the Ulster Football Final today…Cúl nearly lost his head with all the excitement!!

Somehow we doubt the party stopped there either.

Congratulations once again lads.

Hat-tip to Cul Heroes for sending this one our way
