Over the weekend at a Cardinals’ baseball game in America, one lucky boy got his hands on a foul ball after his father caught it in the front row of the stand.
But, after the father handed it to his son and turned away celebrating, the son, who was unaware he is allowed to keep the souvenir, promptly threw the ball back into the field of play.
Let us put this into perspective, you could go to a baseball game every week for the next 50 years and never receive a foul ball again.
The anguish on the father’s face when he sees what his son has done is absolutely priceless.
But it all ended well because somebody on the field returned the ball to them and spared the child years of resentment from his father.
