It takes a lot to outshine two of the greatest tennis players the game has ever seen, but a ballboy managed it at the Australian Open yesterday.
With tension extremely high as Federer struggled to stay in the match at the end of the third set of his semi-final against Nadal, the ballboy stole the show with a truly magnificent catch as Fed rocketed the ball to the side of the court after a failed first serve.
What makes the catch more impressive is that the ballboy did it so nonchalantly, as if it was the easiest thing in the world. The crowd gave him a huge cheer, but Roger and Rafa went about their business as if nothing had happened.
They mightn’t have been so impressed but, nearly one and a half million YouTube viewers and counting would beg to differ.
