The west is awake alright, and pretty early too.

Galway fans are in the capital in numbers ahead of the All-Ireland Hurling Final against Kilkenny today and they’re determined to make their presence felt. Going in as underdogs against the Cats (who isn’t underdogs against Kilkenny?) the Tribesmen won’t be lacking in support, as was evidenced by a gang of Galway supporters breaking into a rousing version of The Fields of Athenry on the Luas this morning. https://twitter.com/efitzric/status/640460468394573824 If it was that loud on the Luas this morning, can you imagine the noise on the trains home west later on if Anthony Cunningham’s men get the job done at Croke Park?
