VIDEO: Galway man pretends to burn sister’s All-Ireland Final tickets, waits two days to tell her it was a joke

Sibling rivalry gone mad

She’s still not talking to him and we don’t blame her.

Galway take on Kilkenny in the All-Ireland Final on Sunday and for many people, tickets to the big game are like gold dust.

Kilkenny might get to the final pretty much on an annual basis these days, but it’s a huge deal for Galway fans and those who manage to get their hands on a ticket can count themselves lucky.

John Hardiman didn’t get tickets to Sunday’s game, but his brother Stephen managed to get his hands on a few, which he subsequently gave to their sister Joanne, and John was not happy about it.

After getting back from the pub on Saturday night, John decided to play a bit of a prank on Joanne by recording a video of him burning three tickets out of jealousy that he didn’t get one himself.

John was, in fact, burning tickets for the Leinster Hurling Final and his Dad, who pretended to try and talk John out of it, was in on the act all along.

If the prank itself wasn’t bad enough, John posted the video on Facebook on Sunday and let on that he hadn’t remembered doing it as a result of a few pints in the pub on the Saturday night.

Worse again, he decided to prolong the agony being suffered by his poor sister by not letting her know that it was all a joke until Monday.

It’s now Tuesday night and she’s still not speaking to him… and we don’t blame her either.

Enjoy the game Joanne.
