Incredibly, Radko Gudas wasn’t even penalised for this cheap shot, but he will surely face a suspension when the powers that be see the footage.
The new NHL season is less than 48 hours old and already we have had the type of hit that does the game no favours. Tampa Bay’s Radko Gudas went in high, hard and incredibly dangerously on Florida’s Scottie Upshall.
There has been a suggestion that Gudas was getting one back on Upshall, who has a reputation as a player who likes to squirt water at opponents from the bench and he did nail Gudas with some H2O in an incident almost a year ago.
It looks like Gudas waited a long time for his revenge but he will be facing a stretch on the sidelines, and a fine, for his trouble.
