Video: High-school basketball player shoots ridiculously lucky, behind the basket bounce shot

He might try and claim that he meant this, but, well, he didn’t.

He might try and claim that he meant this, but, well, he didn’t.

When your luck’s in, it’s in and when it’s out, it’s out and just as one US basketball player was ridiculously unlucky with what would have been a buzzer-beating effort recently, another was ridiculously lucky with a shot that he certainly didn’t mean to pull off.

The player in question is Logan Jurgensmeier of Hinton, who scored with a highly improbable basket in a high school basketball match against Sioux City West a few days ago that he will never repeat if he tried it a hundred times; probably because he didn’t even try to score on this occasion.

With the ball running out of play behind the basket, Jurgensmeier tried to throw it off an opponent directly in front of him, but instead succeeded in slamming it off the floor, up and into the basket for the most bizarre and most fortunate basket he’ll ever score as long as he shoots hoops.
