Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the… office to watch something water-related.
This clip from JukinVideo has done absolutely nothing to alleviate any fears JOE may have about humpback whales and other creatures of the deep coming to kill us in our sleep. Sure, people say “but they could never get into your bedroom because they’re in the water and you’re on land,” but you don’t really believe that, do you?
Professional underwater cameraman Chris Coates was filming whales off the east coast of South Africa when, suddenly, one of the humpbacks (and its calf) started swimming right for him.
Be prepared to be absolutely shit-scared as you listen to his panicked, muffled, underwater cries, before he luckily manages to just get out of the way of the behemoth – but not before it gives him an almighty water-whack with one of its fins though.
Hadn’t Coates watched JOE’s previous video of two divers who came within inches of being eaten up by a pair of hungry humpback whales in California recently? Clearly not.
Unlike Dory in Finding Nemo, JOE doesn’t actually speak fluent whale, but we’re pretty sure that the whale is saying something along the lines of “GET THE HELL OUT OF MY WAY YOU STUPID, PUNY HUMAN.”
