If ever any score was worthy of a ‘boomshakalaka’ it’s this one by Andre Drummond of the Detroit Pistons last night.
Drummond’s Pistons side eventually lost out to the Lakers on a 114-99 scoreline at the Staples Center last night, but there’s no doubting that the score of the night went to the losers, with Andre Drummond scoring a spectacular dunk after a quite ingenious play to set him up by guard Brandon Jennings.
Not only did his off-the-backboard alley-oop look great, it was also practically a product of necessity as Jodie Meeks and Steve Blake of the Lakes were impeding Jennings going for the basket himself or setting up Drummond with a more conventional pass.
As a result, the execution by both players had to be absolutely perfect and we think you’ll agree that it was.
One more time, ‘boomshakalaka’.
