He’d obviously been taking anger management tips from David Ginola…
Much like Martin Demichelis on Tuesday, it was a tough night at the office for Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny last night, with the Polish goalkeeper being sent off for a foul on Arjen Robben before half-time and leaving Arsenal with an uphill task against the European Champions.
While there was little doubt that Szczesny fouled the Bayern winger, some observers felt that a red card was harsh as Robben made the most of the collision and it could be argued that he wasn’t fully in control of the ball, but the referee felt differently and sent him for an early bath.
Szczesny was understandably not a happy bunny as he made his way off the pitch and he was caught expressing his frustrations in a rather rude manner just as he was about to make his way down the tunnel.
It’s not entirely clear who Szczesny was making the gesture towards – most likely the Bayern Munich fans – but considering that it was spotted on live television and by pretty much everyone on the internet, he could face disciplinary action from Uefa to compound his misery on what was a pretty lousy night all round.
