We may need to brush up on our baseball knowledge.
American sports are quite popular here in Ireland, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t a few terms we could do with brushing up on, especially where baseball is concerned.
The good folk behind YouTube channel Facts. recently ventured out to the streets of Dublin to ask the locals if they knew some of the more specialist terms used in the sport.
Some of those terms included: ‘Fisted’, ‘Backdoor slider’ and ‘Squeeze play’... Yeah.
Unsurprisingly, those asked didn’t manage to do too well at guessing where the terms come from… We just wonder what the 'videobomber' at the 0:25 mark would have said?
