Video: Irish-qualified striker scores a worldy for Bolton

There's a touch of the Zlatan about this unorthodox control and finish by Lukas Jutkiewicz.

There’s a touch of the Zlatan about this unorthodox control and finish by Lukas Jutkiewicz.

Despite being only 24, Lukas Jutkiewicz is a well travelled striker. Having started his career at Swindon, he has since passed through the books of Everton, Coventry and Middlesbrough, as well as enjoying loan spells at Huddersfield, Plymouth and Motherwell.

Irish qualified through his granny, English born Jutkiewicz is also Polish qualified, but as yet he hasn’t gotten the call from any of the three countries he could represent. Goals like the one he scored at the weekend, for latest loan club Bolton, might just change that though.

Making his home debut for the Trotters, Jutkiewicz managed to turn a fairly aimless long ball out of defence into a stunner against Bournemouth. The game would end 2-2 but Jutkiewicz immediately ingratiated himself to the home crowd with this moment of magic.

Let’s hope he settles in at the Reebok and manages to catch the eye of Monkeano, eh?

Hat-tip to 101greatgoals for the video.
