Jamie Carragher was one of a number of legends to tog out at Old Trafford for the UNICEF Match for Children yesterday, a game in which David Beckham rolled back the years with a glorious assist for a Paul Scholes goal.
It was only a friendly and it was for charity, but as an ex-Liverpool man playing on the ground of their fiercest rivals, Carragher was always going to get a raucous reception. Proper order, according to the man himself.

Some of the booing might well have been in jest more than anything else, but Carragher knew how to deal with the naysayers in the Stretford End and, in the spirit of the occasion, they even gave him a big cheer for his efforts.
